Hedonism rules the heart
The Sound & Light Company have installed a new Audia DSP control system supplied by beyerdynamic(GB), at Club Hedonism, Barnsley’s leading nightspot in the heart of Yorkshire. The site, which also incorporates Club Mambo and the Chicago Rock is owned by Luminar Leisure and managed by Andy Blackburn and Wayne Robinson.
“We wanted to upgrade the sound system’, Wayne told us, ‘and manage the split venue automatically, to control not only the main club’s speaker system, but also the Mambo room upstairs, simply and independently. Tony Bottomley and Bob Frankish of The Sound & Light Company really know their stuff and they came up with Audia for the solution. I was amazed at how much it could do in just the one unit! All the extra EQ and delay processing we had has now been taken out and replaced by this one little black box. Hedonism has never sounded so good.”

Tony Bottomley adds ”The whole design and setup time is so much shorter with Audia. Its drag and drop design platform makes it easy to configure. Having networking capability means that not only can several Audias be placed into one system, but they can be worked from a remote area. We have found its uses limitless and it has become the first thing we turn to when a ‘spec’ comes in.”
